Totnes Archive has a truly vast range of research materials ready and waiting for you. Make the most of our great reference library, photograph collection and wide range of historic documents. With the help of our talented Archivists, who knows what fascinating stories you will uncover?

The archive is open on Fridays from 10.30am until 2.30pm. Visits on other days may be possible by appointment.

 

Undertaking Your Research

Totnes Archive is located through the alley at the left of the main Museum. Follow the alley all the way to the Garden and the archive building will be on your right.

 

The archive is open on Fridays from 10.30am to 2.30pm. Other times may be available by appointment. Please contact us by email (see below).

Please note that this service is staffed by volunteers and receives no external funding. Therefore, we do have to make a small charge for use of the archive and its expertise.

 

Pricing:

Use of resources: £2.50 per hour.
Guided research on premises:  £5 per hour
Research service: £15.00 per hour.

(If you are a volunteer or member of the Friends of Totnes Museum you can use the archive's resources free of charge.)
