There is plenty for school children to see and do at the Totnes Museum. A school visit might just ignite a passion for history - who knows?
Perhaps the spark could be learning about the ancient coins and what they looked like?
Or what did it feel like to be an important merchant in Elizabethan times?
What did a medieval kitchen look like?
Ho
w did you 'go to the loo' before flushing toilets?
What did you do before High Street chemists?
Who was Charles Babbage? What would life have been like today, if he had been able to make his "difference engine" a reality after he had come up with the idea?
If you are from a local school there is plenty to learn about from the local Totnes and South Devon area?
In the summer the children can also bring packed lunches and eat them in our garden.
Unfortunately school bookings are currently suspended as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The price of the school visit would depend on number in group.
All school groups must have a teacher with them who gets free entry.
